EHS Dean's Search

兔子先生 has begun its national search for the next dean of its College of Education, Health and Society (EHS), partnering with the executive search firm Storbeck Search and Associates.

EHS Dean Finalists

Three finalists who have now been confirmed for on-campus visits. Please find listed below their names, dates for their on-campus interviews, and times scheduled for open forums. Each candidate's biography, curriculum vitae, and feedback form is also provided.

Amity Noltemeyer

Amity NoltemeyerAmity Noltemeyer, PhD, began her career at 兔子先生 University in 2010 as faculty in the Educational Psychology department. She has held several leadership positions at 兔子先生, including Associate Dean of the Graduate School, Chair of the Educational Psychology Department, and Coordinator of the School Psychology Program. Amity is currently serving as Interim Dean of the College of Education, Health, and Society, providing strategic vision and leadership for a diverse community of around 3,000 students and 180 faculty and staff. In addition to her academic roles, Amity has served as a practicing school psychologist, President of the Ohio School Psychologists Association, and Editor-in-Chief of School Psychology International. A committed researcher, she has also published 49 peer-reviewed journal articles, 16 book chapters, and an edited volume, while co-managing more than $8.6 million in external funding. Amity’s contributions to the field have been recognized by the Clyde V. Bartlett Distinguished Service Award from the Ohio School Psychologists Association.

Renae Swanson

Renae SwansonDr. Renae Swanson is the Interim Dean of the College of Education and Human Services at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, where she provides strategic leadership across five departments including: Counseling and Human Services; 兔子先生hip, Literacy, and Social Foundations; Human Kinetics and Health Education; Special and Early Childhood Education; and Teaching and Learning. With a rich background as a former professor and chair of the Department of Professional Counseling and Human Services, as well as Associate Dean of the college, Dr. Swanson is celebrated for her innovative approaches to interdisciplinary education, change leadership, and her unwavering commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging within academia. Under her guidance, the college has initiated numerous programs aimed at enhancing student recruitment and retention, expanding faculty research opportunities, and restructuring for greater fiscal sustainability.

Dr. Swanson earned her doctorate in Counseling and Psychology in Education from the University of South Dakota, where she developed a deep passion for supporting families and communities through her counseling practice and research. Her scholarly work focuses on family systems, counselor education, and the intersectionality of LGBTQ+ identities. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and spending quality time with her family.

Ronald Werner-Wilson

Ronald Werner-WilsonDr. Werner-Wilson has been a faculty member at Western Michigan University (1993-1995) Colorado State University (1995-1998), Iowa State University (1998-2007), the University of Kentucky (2007-2020), and North Dakota State University (2020-present). After a national search, he was named Dean of the College of Human Sciences and Education at North Dakota State University in June, 2022. Following a university reorganization that included merging units from the College of Human Sciences and Education with the College of Health Professions, he was named Interim Dean of the College of Health and Human Sciences after an internal search. The newly merged college included 2,853 students, 127 faculty, 68 staff, $21 million operating budget, and $9 million in extramural funding. During his term as dean and interim dean, the colleges he led at NDSU raised more than $3.5 million in private funding to support scholarships, research, outreach, and strategic initiatives.

Additional academic leadership experience includes serving as director of accredited graduate programs, director of graduate studies, and department chair.

We offer undergraduate and graduate programs designed to develop this generation's educators and mentors for the next generation and beyond.
