Heanon Wilkins Faculty Fellows

Heanon Wilkins Faculty Fellow

program is named after former ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Professor Heanon Wilkins, ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University's first full-time African-American faculty member. A distinguished professor of Spanish, Portuguese, and Black World Studies, Dr. Wilkins is an enduring and inspirational example of ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú’s teacher-scholar faculty, having received ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú's highest honors in teaching, research, and service. Honoring his impressive legacy, we hope to recruit cohorts of excellent future faculty to ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú through this program.

The College of Arts and Science

Representing nearly half of all students, the College of Arts and Science (CAS) is ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University's largest division and the centerpiece of liberal arts — the wide range of subjects in the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities crucial for the development of key professional skills desired by employers.
