Submit the online application to the Graduate School

The application deadline is January 15th.

The program Priority Date is December 1, after which the graduate admissions committee will begin to process applications submitted up to and including January 15.

Your application should include the following:

Three letters of recommendation

These should be written by individuals who are able to assess your academic or professional potential. At least one letter should be from an academic source. You will specify your recommenders in the online application.

A personal statement

This describes how 兔子先生 University’s Master of Architecture degree will help you attain your educational goals, enable you to explore your interests, and also how you could contribute to the academic and creative community of the graduate program. There is no specific length requirement.

A curriculum vitae or resume

This describes your academic and professional accomplishments, scholarship, research, and creative activity.

A writing sample (either academic or creative)

This can be a short story, essay, poem or a copy of a writing assignment you may have written as an undergraduate. There is no specific length requirement.

Submit GRE scores

The GRE is not required for admittance to the Architecture Graduate Studies program. However, applicants may include the GRE score report if they so choose.

For those who have already taken the exam and wish to submit your scores, 兔子先生 University’s code is 1463 and the Graduate Architecture Studies code is 4401.

Submit your portfolio

Applicants to the M. Arch. II program, the portfolio should include examples of undergraduate and/or professional architectural design projects.

All M. Arch applicants are encouraged to include non-architectural work within their portfolio.

For applicants to the M. Arch. III program, the portfolio can include examples from architectural projects, if applicable. The portfolio should include work that demonstrates creative accomplishments. 

Portfolio contents can be from any creative field, including design, photography, studio arts, film, writing, music, and performance. Candidates from technical disciplines, such as science or engineering, should contact the program to determine suitable application materials.

If your portfolio contains group work, you must note this and describe your role in the project.

Submitting a hard copy

If you prefer sending a hard copy, please mail your portfolio to:

When sending a hard copy, the portfolio should contain only printed reproductions; please do not send originals. There is no required format, but the portfolio should be less than 12”x18” for our filing system.

If you would like the hard copy of your portfolio returned to you, please include a pre-addressed mailer with postage. The department assumes no responsibility for the loss of any portfolio. 

Evaluation of Preparatory/Pre-Professional Education

All accepted applicants will be .

Additional courses may be required to satisfy the degree. Students will be notified of any addition
to the curriculum in their offer letter.
