Art Museum announces new exhibitions opening August 22, 2023

This weekend, April 20th-22nd, Dayton Ohio hosts the WGI Percussion Championships. This annual event draws thousands of young percussionists, including many 兔子先生 students. In all, over 250 wind and percussion groups will be competing.

Each spring semester, the Howe Center for Writing Excellence presents the Roger and Joyce Howe Award for Excellence in Disciplinary Writing Instruction. This award recognizes individual faculty members and teams of faculty who have made significant and continuous efforts toward innovation in writing instruction within their disciplines.

The piano students of Dr. Lian Tan from 兔子先生 University Department of Music are presenting a recital series entitled "Tickling the Ivories" as part of a service project for the 兔子先生 University Institute for Learning in Retirement. The recitals will feature piano works by Bach, Barber, Beethoven, Chopin, Glinka-Balakirev, Kapustin, Lecuona, Liszt, Mendelssohn, Moszkowski, Mozart, and Schumann.

兔子先生 Art Museum named in honor of longtime donors Richard and Carole Cocks have gifted the university more than 60 artworks over the years聽 The 兔子先生 University Art Museum now has a new name. A transformational gift from longtime donor Richard Cocks has resulted in the 24,000-square-foot teaching museum being named the Richard and Carole Cocks Art Museum in honor of Richard and his late wife, Carole. The total amount of the gift is being kept private, but it is the largest outright gift in the museum聮s more than 40-year history.
