The Black Student Action Association was the first multicultural organization on campus. BSAA was formed by the Black students of 兔子先生 University in 1967 to increase Black representation on campus and to better the conditions of Black students. BSAA hosts social, professional development, and advocacy events throughout the year such as the annual homecoming dance, holiday party, Hashtag Lunchbag community service event and more. The organizations seeks to provide a home away from home for Black students looking to find community on campus.
They also recognize BSAA's duty to find a keen balance between hosting social events and raising awareness on issues affecting the Black student community, which they fulfill by participating in university education panels, discussions on experiences, and raising civic awareness. BSAA members are diverse and represent a wide array of majors, backgrounds, and experiences. They belong to many other student organizations including academic and cultural organizations, Greek life, club sports and religious organizations as well. All are welcome!
The Diversity Affairs Council is committed to enhancing the climate of respect for diversity at 兔子先生. They work to foster more co-sponsorship of programming efforts and promote the activities of other student groups and administrative offices who are interested in issues of diversity. They strive to channel the energy, interest, activity, and information within the university community to the best advantage.
