A combination of dynamic classroom and experiential learning engages students to understand the physical, metabolic, organizational, societal, and cultural forces that affect health and performance.

The Department of Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Health is a premier department in the nation focused on health, physical activity, and related cultural practices which provides a transformative student experience. We strive for excellence in teaching by providing diverse, unique, engaged, and innovative learning environments and curriculum. In addition, we embrace high-quality, unparalleled teaching technologies and experiential learning with high levels of academic rigor. We also promote an environment that supports and fosters faculty and student engagement and inquiry, resulting in the generation and sharing of knowledge.
Accreditation and certification provide assurance to students and prospective employers that our professional degree programs meet the highest standards. Three programs offered by the Department of Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Health (KNH), Athletic Training, Dietetics, and Kinesiology are accredited by their respective professional organizations.
Graduates of KNH's athletic training and dietetics programs are eligible to apply for professional certification. This requires passing a national exam and in the case of dietetics also fulfilling a professional internship following graduation.
*As nationally mandated by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE), the professional athletic training program at 兔子先生 University transitioned from the Bachelor’s level to the Master’s level. Students wishing to pursue athletic training should enroll in the Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology program with the intention of applying to the Master of Athletic Training program during junior year.
