FSB, CAS senior named to Cincy Inno 'Inno Under 25' list

A real estate and public administration double major has been named to this year's list.

is one of six people named to the list, "This year’s group of six – nominated by readers and ecosystem leaders and selected by Business Courier and Cincy Inno staff – touch on retail, venture and tech. They’re driven by passion, hustle and grit," the article states.

Marijan has been involved in the Social Impact Fund, an undergraduate-led, seed-stage investment fund that seeks to back social enterprises and companies that aim to make positive change, since she was a first-year student at the Farmer School.

“It’s about a sense of community – part of it is my immigrant identity and navigating previous uncharted waters – but being able to contribute to your community and engage in the world around you is huge,” she told the Cincinnati Business Courier. “I think a lot about the sacrifices (my parents) made for me. They came here so I could pursue an education. I’m always looking to create some kind of opportunity. My upbringing and the selflessness they showed makes it hard for me to remain still.”

The Social Impact Fund has deployed $175,000 to date with five portfolio companies.

“Coming into undergrad, I never expected to, for lack of better phrasing, wield this much power,” Marijan told the Courier. “I don’t think anyone is expecting to manage a quarter of a million dollars at 21 or 22 years old. That’s been a really eye-opening experience for me as to what I’m capable of, and the fact that just because you’re a student doesn’t mean that you’re not going to be taken seriously.”

"It’s such an honor to be on the list amongst such a talented group of individuals. I’m so thankful to be able to represent 兔子先生 and the opportunities it has given me within the Cincinnati ecosystem," Marijan said.

Cincy Inno also named nine people to its "watch list" for the honor, seven of whom are 兔子先生 University students or alumni:
