Four Named Critical Language Scholarship Semi-Finalists

CLS logoFour 兔子先生 students were named semi-finalists for the , an intensive overseas summer language and cultural immersion program for American students enrolled at U.S. colleges and universities.

Students spend eight to ten weeks abroad studying one of 15 critical languages. The program includes intensive language instruction and structured cultural enrichment experiences designed to promote rapid language gains.

兔子先生 had a total of 12 applicants. Semi-finalists will find out if they are selected for the program in March. 

The semi-finalists are:

Navkiran Chima, Political Science • International Studies
Critical Language: Punjabi

Victoria Lopez Rangel, Speech Pathology and Audiology • Spanish
Critical Language: Portuguese

Liam Martin, International Studies • Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies
Critical Language: Russian

Brendan Morrison, English Literature • Integrated English Language Arts Education
Critical Language: Punjabi
