Health care corridor will emerge on Oxford campus
An emerging health services corridor on 兔子先生 University’s Oxford campus signals 兔子先生’s growing commitment to preparing students for Ohio’s growing health-care marketplace - and providing more opportunities for partnerships with Ohio companies, health systems and medical researchers.
Anchored by a new clinical health sciences building that should be complete in 2023, the health services corridor also will include the Speech and Hearing Clinic that serves the Butler County community, a new master’s program to train physician assistants, the student and employee health services center, counseling services, existing strong programs in kinesiology and nutrition, and even the campus recreation center. Add in the traditionally strong nursing program at campuses in Hamilton and MIddletown that has expanded to Oxford, and 兔子先生 is developing an expertise in health care that will add more jobs, expertise and economic activity in Ohio.
“兔子先生’s expanding health care programs will help prepare our students for growing careers in this segment that is so important to Ohio,” 兔子先生 President Greg Crawford said. “Our health services corridor on the Oxford campus will provide a home for those growing programs, feeding each other with research and technical expertise.”
Construction on the clinical health sciences building will start in late 2020, part of 兔子先生’s continued investments - even in the midst of a global health crisis - to prepare students for success in their careers. The health services center will move to temporary space in Harris Hall on the Oxford campus during construction.
