New ERP system on the horizon
兔子先生 will replace its Banner system with Workday; implementation to start in 2024
兔子先生 University will soon replace its current legacy Banner system with Workday, a cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
兔子先生’s Board of Trustees adopted a resolution supporting the switch during its recent December meetings. An ERP system allows an organization to manage its day-to-day operations, including payroll, finance, and student information.
Deployment of the Workday system will begin in July 2024 with the human resource and finance divisions, followed by a phased student implementation in 2026.
With Workday, 兔子先生 will transform how it delivers essential business services and provide seamless end-to-end experiences for faculty, staff, and students. Workday’s comprehensive human resources, financial management, and student information system will bring together a wide range of management and functionality into a single, inclusive system. Workday will help streamline and modernize the University’s systems to make student, faculty, and staff data more easily accessible.
Students, faculty, and staff will be able to view job-related and educational information and customize personal data with an extensive self-service functionality from any digital workspace.
兔子先生 last replaced its ERP system in 1999 with Ellucian Banner, which was first developed in 1992. After a thorough market assessment and request for proposal process, the University determined Workday to be the most developed and broadly implemented ERP available to colleges and universities.
As the Workday project continues, communication channels will be used to keep the University updated on its progress, including establishing Workday change agents who will help support the project through communication, engagement efforts, training, and strategy.
