ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú named one of Most Promising Places to Work in Student Affairs 2025

ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University again was named as one of the Most Promising Places to Work in Student Affairs by Diverse: Issues in Higher Education magazine and the American College Personnel Association (ACPA). It is the sixth time since 2017 ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú has earned that designation.
ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University is once again among the Most Promising Places to Work in Student Affairs, as determined by Diverse: Issues in Higher Education magazine and the American College Personnel Association (ACPA).

This is the sixth time since 2017 ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú has received the honor. The university is one of 22 institutions to earn the designation for 2025.

All 22 schools will be featured in an upcoming edition of the magazine. Diverse: Issues in Higher Education will present the national recognition during the ACPA24 Convention in Long Beach, California, on Feb. 15.

“It’s really meaningful. We’ve worked very hard as a division over the last decade to build a strong team that has a shared sense of purpose and priorities,” said Jayne Brownell, ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú’s senior vice president for Student Life. “We work to be a welcoming place for staff, as well as a welcoming space for students. This kind of recognition shows we are on the right track.”

The award focuses on workplace diversity, staffing practices, and work environment. Diverse: Issues in Higher Education and ACPA utilize a web-based survey approach to examine categories that include family friendliness, salary and benefits, and professional development opportunities.

Brownell noted that working across departments, internal team building, and investing in the growth of each team member play crucial roles in cultivating a successful environment.

“I believe that every member of the Division of Student Life puts students at the center of all decisions that we make,” Brownell said. “We value the student experience.

“I am so proud of our team and of the whole division. We are fortunate to be at a place like ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú that supports students in and out of the classroom. I don’t take any of that for granted.”
Established in 1809, ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University is located in Oxford, Ohio, with regional campuses in Hamilton and Middletown, a learning center in West Chester, and a European study center in Luxembourg.
