ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú

All students who apply for admission by February 1 and are admitted to ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University’s Oxford campus are considered for the many general scholarships we award to incoming first-year students. No separate application is required for these scholarships. Scholarships are not guaranteed and are based on academic credentials provided at the time of application. Priority consideration for University merit scholarships will be given to students applying for admission by December 1. Students can review their Financial Aid Offer for information on scholarship renewability, the required cumulative grade point average (GPA), and the required major, if applicable.

Scholarships for Current Students

Current ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú students will be considered for the various donor and departmental scholarships available for the following year. We will automatically make award determinations by reviewing a student's cumulative grade point average and the specific eligibility criteria required for each scholarship. Scholarships are awarded within the limits of available funds. No separate scholarship application is required. Students can review their Financial Aid Offer for information on scholarship renewability, the required cumulative grade point average (GPA), and the required major, if applicable.

All scholarships are based on academic merit, but some scholarships also require financial need. 

• Complete the FAFSA by ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú’s priority deadline for returning students
• We determine financial need based on the results of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Myaamia Heritage Award Program

The Myaamia Heritage Award Program is designed to be a full (four-year) undergraduate college experience focused on Myaamia language and culture for enrolled citizens of the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Tribe of Oklahoma or members of the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Nation of Indians of the State of Indiana, Inc. who meet all entrance requirements for admission to ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University and enroll as Oxford campus students. 

The Myaamia Heritage Award Program includes the Heritage Award (a waiver of instructional fees available for up to eight semesters) and educational support from the Heritage Program Coordinator and Myaamia Center staff. Course fees are not covered by this program.

Presidential Fellows Program

ROTC Scholarships

ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú hosts Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) opportunities for students interested in the Air Force and Navy. Xavier University Army ROTC in Cincinnati serves as the host program for ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú ROTC Army cadets.

Air Force ROTC

Air Force ROTC offers a scholarship program for highly qualified high school seniors as well as students already in college who are interested in commissioning as Air Force officers. Many scholarships pay full tuition, housing and dining, money for books, and a monthly tax-free stipend. AFROTC’s in-college scholarship selection occurs during the freshman and sophomore years. High school seniors apply online by December 1.

AFROTC develops quality leaders for the Air Force through a comprehensive training program focused on building leadership, management, and officership skills both in and out of the classroom. Students who complete the AFROTC program commission as second lieutenants in the U.S. Air Force with a challenging career specialty like pilot, navigator, air battle manager, intelligence, maintenance, security forces, space and missiles, finance, doctor, nurse, manpower and personnel, or public affairs. Army ROTC

Army ROTC is the top Army Officer producing program in the nation. ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú offers Army ROTC for ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú students seeking either full- or part-time careers as Army Officers. All Army ROTC military science classes are offered on the Oxford campus. Over the past several years, ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Army ROTC Cadets have ranked among the top in the nation among their peers in Army Officer Accessions placement. Army Officer Career fields include Engineering, Nursing Aviation, Cyber, Medical, Logistics, Maintenance, Intelligence, and ten other tremendous career field opportunities.

Several scholarship options and financial aid assistance are available for qualified applicants. Prior service enlisted soldiers, as well as current Army National Guard and Reserve soldiers, are highly encouraged to explore this rewarding program. Freshman and sophomore level military science classes can be taken on an exploratory basis with no commitment to the Army.

Naval ROTC

As the largest single source of Navy and Marine Corps officers, the NROTC Scholarship Program fills a vital need in preparing mature young men and women for leadership and management positions in an increasingly technical Navy and Marine Corps. Full-ride scholarships, book money, a stipend, room and board, and commissioning opportunities are available for both prospective freshmen as well as current ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú students.
