Introduction
Dr. H. Louise Davis teaches courses in American Studies, Integrative Studies, and Film. Her research explores political consumer movements, social and environmental justice issues, representations of marginalized groups in fiction and non-fiction film and media, and the socio-eco politics of food and fuel. She is at present working on a book-length project, Shopping Movements: Political Consumerism in the Neo-Liberal Era, which examines global cultures of charity since the mid-1980s and co-editing a collection titled Commodities and Trading: The Ecopolitics of Food with Dr. Karyn J. Pilgrim and Dr. Madhu Sinha.
