Introduction

Dr. Jae-Seung Lee joined ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University in 2023. He served as a cadet in R.O.T.C. during his college years. After graduation, he served as a leader of Counter-Terrorist Unit and Company Commander in Special Force of Republic of Korea Army. After the honorable discharge from the military service, he pursued criminal justice major in the United States and earned his Ph.D. in criminal justice in 2016.

His teaching and research focus on community policing and police strategies, crime prevention, gun violence, and terrorism. He has managed multiple research projects awarded with grants. His research appeared in academic privileged journals in criminal justice field such as Police Quarterly, Policing: An International Journal, and Social Science Quarterly. He has taught various criminal justice courses such as introduction to criminal justice, police management, community policing, juvenile justice, criminal court, correctional system and practices, criminological theories, and research methodology.
