Introduction
Professor Schuchart served for 35 years in law enforcement, retiring as an Assistant Chief of Police. During his police career, he also served as an Assessment Team Member for the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), Terrorism Liaison Officer, and as a member of the Ohio Chief of Police Education Committee. He is a graduate of the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command, where he was awarded the Franklin Kreml 兔子先生hip Award, the Police Executive 兔子先生hip College, the FBI National Academy (Session 200), and he is a Certified Law Enforcement Executive. Professor Schuchart has been an adjunct instructor for the University of Cincinnati.

Professor Schuchart’s research interests center on terrorism, policing in communities, police organization and management, and police effectiveness.
