The Advanced Manufacturing Workforce and Innovation Hub is a cutting-edge partnership between ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University and Butler Tech Career Technical Center that aims to develop an educated workforce and will serve as a catalyst for community economic growth. Students will have access to a variety of distinctive pathways to meet all levels of need in the manufacturing sector — from associate degrees, industry-recognized credentials and Microcredentials, to degrees in robotics, electro-mechanical engineering, and more.
The Advanced Manufacturing Workforce and Innovation Hub provides space for joint Butler Tech and ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University programming, as well as the Workforce Development Center, the Commercialization Center, and the Research Center.

Led by industry experts and supported by educational professionals from and ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University, this initiative is part of the Butler County Board of Commissioners' strategic vision to create a vital access point to Ohio's thriving training, education, and workforce ecosystem. This collaboration between our educational institutions, government officials, and businesses will leverage emerging advanced manufacturing technology in this co-inhabited space to provide high-quality education.
The students participating in the program will start their pathway at Butler Tech and have the opportunity to progress to associate and bachelor’s degrees in Engineering Technology at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University Regionals and undergraduate and graduate programs in the College of Engineering and Computing on the Oxford Campus.
This project would not be completed without the $15 million in funding from the Butler County Board of Commissioners.
Both students and community members will benefit from our incredible industry partners and experts who will be on-site. Their expertise will help train and educate our current and future workforce, producing manufacturing and STEM talent in Southwest Ohio that is ready to make an immediate impact from day one of employment.

JEE Foods is a nonprofit organization, powered by high school students. They strive to end hunger, food waste, and poverty through food rescue. While their team is committed to addressing the need of those who are hungry, we aim to take on the core factors in which these problems are rooted in, to create sustainable change.
At the core of our organization, JEE Foods takes food that would otherwise be discarded by restaurants, farms, and grocers and rescues it. This rescued food either travels back to our main facilities, where we transform it to extend its shelf-life or it is delivered directly to a nonprofit organization.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) projects a 2% growth in engineering technician positions between 2021 and 2031, which they attribute to an increase in fields like automation, robotics, and alternative energies. The BLS also expects employment of environmental engineering technicians to grow by 4% from 2021 to 2031 due to an increase in sustainability projects. The job outlook for engineering technicians can vary depending on the type of engineering technician.
