I love ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú sports, and I have helped lead our student section — it is my favorite thing to do. I love talking about ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú sports and promoting games to my fellow students. I lose my voice at every single game cheering on our RedHawks!

What is the best part about showing your school spirit?

You don't even have to be a sports fan to be a part of a student section, because student sections are a social event. It builds community. It brings people closer with their college, and ultimately it just makes the college experience better. I'm there screaming with my favorite people next to me, and we're all having a great time. I’m a RedHawk for life.

How did you get to explore your area of study during your time at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú?

I have been able to see many different areas of environmental science — from lab work to fieldwork — and learn about different directions to take my future career. I loved the experience of Dr. Jason Rech's Geology of Streams course, which was a summer class where we got to camp, canoe down different rivers of southwest Ohio and southeast Indiana, and unpack our recent geologic history.
