How did you choose your major?

I chose Psychology going into ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú because I love human behavior. I also added Professional Writing because I liked the classes and wanted to refine my writing skills.

Key Moment at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú

When I got first started in my research lab, where we look at fan culture and civic conversations through podcasts for the TV show Real Housewives, Dr. Carolyn Hardin put a lot of trust into me to help organize the project. She’s been someone in the Department of Media, Journalism, and Film that really helped me find a place at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú.

Other Notable Experience

Participating in ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú's Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion was a major experience that influenced me, because it was somewhere I could interact with people who had similar experiences as me and the faculty there are just beyond kind!

Advice to Prospective Students

ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú's campus is just large enough to always be meeting new people but small enough that faculty and staff won’t let you slip through the cracks.

What are your career goals?

I'm looking into going to grad school to do psychology research about racial identity and development as well as some type of scientific writing.
