Dalí Quartet in the Gallery: Watch Masters at Work

The ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University Department of Music and Performing Arts Series are excited to present a special afternoon of free, world-class music featuring the acclaimed Dalí Quartet on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. This event, supported by the Dr. David B. Phillips Performing Arts Fund, offers a unique blend of performance and education, open and free to the public.

The Dalí Quartet will perform a concert at 12:15 PM in Gallery 3 of the Richard and Carole Cocks Art Museum, followed by an open masterclass at 1:00 PM. Set within the intimate and inspiring environment of the museum, this performance will allow the audience to experience the Quartet’s music immersed in a setting that celebrates the arts. Following the concert, the masterclass will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the Quartet’s teaching process, as they mentor ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University music students.

About the Dalí Quartet

The Dalí Quartet, renowned for blending Classical and Latin American traditions, was recently honored as the 2024 Chamber Music America Ensemble of the Year. Their mastery has elevated Latin American quartet repertoire to equal standing alongside the Classical and Romantic canons, while their commitment to community engagement has made them a transformative force in chamber music.

With a home base in Philadelphia, PA, the Dalí Quartet’s members bring a rich and diverse background, hailing from Venezuela, Puerto Rico, and the United States. Each musician is internationally trained by renowned artists, and together, they deliver performances that are not only technically impeccable but also deeply emotive and culturally enriching.
