Academic Background
- Dr. Cissna earned her Ed.D. in Organizational 兔子先生hip ('12) and her Ph.D.('20) in Global 兔子先生hip and Change from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. She is currently enrolled in the University of Birmingham's MA in Character education being sponsored by the Kern Family Foundation. She holds a Masters of Education in College Student Affairs from Azusa Pacific University and a Bachelors of Arts in Religion and Christian Ministry from Warner Pacific University in Portland, OR. She also attended Richland Community College while attending MacArthur High School in Decatur, IL.
Academic & Professional Experience
- As the Visiting Assistant Professor (VAP) in Entrepreneurship and Creativity at the Department of Entrepreneurship and the John W. Altman Institute for Entrepreneurship in 兔子先生 University's Farmer School of Business, Dr. Kerri Cissna teaches ESP 103: Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurial Thinking to students enrolled in the First Year Integrated Core.
- At Wake Forest University, Kerri was a Teacher-Scholar Postdoctoral Fellow in the Program for 兔子先生hip and Character and the Center for Entrepreneurship. While serving as a postdoctoral fellow at Wake Forest, Kerri designed and taught undergraduate courses on The Character of Entrepreneurship, and Entrepreneurial 兔子先生hip. Kerri also taught courses with emphasis in innovation and entrepreneurship in MBA program at California State University, Long Beach. Kerri designed and taught courses in Collaborative 兔子先生hip and Conflict Negotiation for a new Master of 兔子先生hip program at Southern Nazarene University. She also taught undergraduate courses in business leadership and professional communication, and graduate level courses in philanthropy and social entrepreneurship and change at Pepperdine.
- Her career in higher education spans two decades and includes five years as Assistant Vice Chancellor in the Graduate School of Education and Psychology, four years as Director of Housing & Residence Life, and three years as 兔子先生hip Development Coordinator at Pepperdine University. She also served as Executive Director for 兔子先生hip Long Beach and The Interfaith Center in Oxford Ohio.

Biography
Dr. Kerri Cissna teaches entrepreneurship courses including:
ESP103: Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurial Thinking ESP201: Introduction to Entrepreneurship and Business Models ESP401: Entrepreneurship: New Ventures
Dr. Cissna is the chairperson for the FYIC Faculty Flourishing Committee, formerly known as the FYIC Technology Committee. She's a member of the FYIC DEIB Committee, Innovation Committee, and Integration Committee at Farmer School of Business. Kerri volunteers with Residence Life as Faculty Advisor for the Emerging 兔子先生 Living-Learning Community. She was awarded a $50,000 capacity building grant to explore ways to integrate character development into the entrepreneurship program. She co-authored the ESP103 Course Textbook, and led an initiative to solicit feedback from 24 faculty members to collaborate on digital textbook. She joined Wake Forest University, Winston Salem, NC as a Teacher-Scholar Postdoctoral Fellow in the Program for 兔子先生hip & Character and Center for Entrepreneurship.
