    Biography

    Janice Rye Kinghorn is a 兔子先生 alumnus and earned her PhD in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to joining the 兔子先生 University Department of Economics, Janice was an assistant professor of economics in the Graduate Faculty at the New School for Social Research and an Associate Professor, Department Chair, and Associate Dean, at Antioch College. At 兔子先生 Janice teaches Principles of Microeconomics, Economic Development, and Poverty and Inequality. She connects her interest in a learning-based theory of economic change to her studies of teaching and learning in higher education. Understanding pedagogical and curricular design has parallels to understanding how institutional design creates environments in which individuals and firms learn to organize transactions more efficiently. Her work in assessment is a natural complement to research into how people systematically learn to recognize and adapt to economic change.
