The Three Minute Thesis Competition is a great way to develop communication skills for graduate students. Synthesizing years of work and being able to convey it to an audience that doesn't know your scientific jargon is a fantastic and challenging experience.

Madeline is being spotlighted for competing in the inaugural Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition at the American Institute for Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Annual Meeting. Her talk titled, "Evolution of Modern Medicine" w was placed 2nd out of a field of 11 finalists.
