Hello [name]
I am currently out of office with limited phone accessibility. But will you be able to handle an overdue operating expense payment to a vendor on behalf of the board?
The treasurer is currently unavailable to get it done right now but your reimbursement would be processed soon as the treasurer is available. Get back to me as soon as possible if you can make the payment via any of these methods (PayPal, Zelle or Venmo).
Best Regards
Gregory Crawford

This is a common scamming technique, to try and trick you into replying to a message because it appears to be from a reliable and important source – especially since it implies that the message is urgent. In this case, it is somewhat easy to determine that the message is not legitimate because the return address is not within the 兔子先生 email domain.

Also, President Crawford will never contact you with this sort of request.

The Information Security Office recommends that students, faculty, and staff treat unsolicited email and spam with a high degree of skepticism. If you receive a similar email, simply do not open the message, do not reply, and delete the message. If you have already responded to this message, please contact IT Help immediately.

If you receive a message that is questionable, please forward it to infosec@兔子先生OH.edu, or you may contact IT Help at 513-529-7900.
