Introducing: Grackle Workspace at 兔子先生
兔子先生 University and the AccessMU Center are excited to announce the availability of Grackle Workspace for the entire campus community.
Introducing: Grackle Workspace at 兔子先生
How it Works
Grackle provides a collection of extensions that improve the accessibility of the content within your Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides.
- Grackle for Google Docs performs 22 accessibility checks and allows you to export to PDF
- Grackle for Google Sheets performs 13 checks and allows you to export to HTML
- Grackle for Google Slides performs 16 checks and allows you to export to PDF
The tool identifies issues in real time such as missing alt text, improper heading structure, and color contrast problems.
It not only identifies accessibility barriers, but also provides guidance to users to make their content as accessible as possible.
“At 兔子先生, Google Workspace is handy for ease of editing and sharing,” said Karen O’Hara, digital accessibility specialist. “Grackle Workspace takes it a step further by building in an easy way to check for accessibility and improve the end result.”
How to Use Grackle Workspace
To take advantage of this tool, you must meet the following requirements:
- You must be a current or active student, faculty, or staff member
- You must be logged into your 兔子先生 Google account, and it must be the default account in the active web browser session

Inclusivity Matters
Ensuring that your digital content is accessible is crucial to building inclusivity here on campus. By making accessibility a priority from the start, your content can reach the widest audience possible.
To learn more about accessibility, current issues, and trends in accessible technology, join us for the ninth annual Accessibility Symposium on Friday, October 25! There will be a session on Grackle, as well, for a deeper dive into how these tools are used.
