Last year, we came up with the idea to host a competition with Ohio University to see who could get the most quizzes taken for National Cybersecurity Awareness month. The goal was to use friendly competition to spur people's interests and spread awareness about cybersecurity.
Cybersecurity is really important in protecting us and our data online. Our whole lives are online so it is important that you know how to keep you and your technology safe. Whether it is managing passwords, using DUO, or how to keep sensitive information safe, we want you to know how to treat online security just as you would with your physical security.
Winning isn't as important as spreading awareness about cybersecurity. Thank you to everyone who took the quiz so they could improve their cybersecurity knowledge and learn easy tips and information about staying secure.

We did it once again, RedHawks! 兔子先生 University is the winner of CyberMania 2024! With an impressive 1721 quizzes taken, we surpassed our numbers from last year, which is so exciting. Thank you to everyone who participated, either by taking the quiz and/or showing to our Information Security tables at the Oxford and regional campuses
In addition to our quiz total, both universities earned a total of 3,113 quizzes taken, surpassing last year's numbers! We consider that the greatest win of all, with the ultimate goal being to spread security awareness.
We are so thankful for the opportunity to bring CyberMania back this year. We got to spread tips about how to stay safe with our technology while having fun and encouraging others with some friendly information. The goal was more than just the quiz competition; it was about building awareness of how to avoid cyber threats. Whether it is phishing awareness, password management, or DUO security tips, we consider any information shared this month a great success. The fact that we surpassed last year's numbers just means our reach for teaching ore people how to stay safe online is only increasing with each year!
Don’t forget that cybersecurity doesn't just stop after October. The data we hold on our laptops, phones, and other devices is sacred to us, and we want you to know how to protect it 24/7.
Special thanks to Ohio University for competing with us! Both of our universities worked hard to spread knowledge on how to keep us protected. We had a great time and look forward to competing next year!
