The board approved a motion to direct President Gregory Crawford to begin the strategic planning process with ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúTHRIVE phase 1 as the foundation and form working groups of faculty, staff, students, and other stakeholders to evaluate and design strategic initiatives to strengthen ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú.
“We are grateful to the approximately 400 ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúans who participated in this first phase of ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúTHRIVE, which has yielded important data, analysis, ideas, and best practices that position us well for this next phase of strategic planning,” Board Chair Mary Schell said. “We believe that the strategic priorities identified in this recent phase will help set the University on a course to better meet the dynamic needs and interests of our students now and into the future. We are excited to continue working with President Crawford and our exceptional faculty, staff, and students to develop key strategic initiatives in alignment with these priorities.”
The board bade farewell to outgoing trustees Sandra Drabik Collins, John Pascoe, and student trustee Jack Fazio with resolutions of appreciation. New board member Lisa Peterson, director of communications for Gov. Mike DeWine, and new student member Peyton B. Morrow begin their terms March 1.
