Valuable staff input gained from new Workday Learn course: Overview of Sustainability and Climate Action
More than 75% of all Oxford-based, non-instructional staff participated in the Workday Learn Staff Sustainability Training short course launched in January.
“Thank you to all who watched the ‘Overview of Sustainability and Climate Action at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University’ video and took the short survey,” said Olivia Herron, director of sustainability. “We surpassed our goal for staff participation.”
Staff input is valuable, especially as ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú prepares to submit its next STARS (Sustainability Tracking, Assessment, and Rating System) report later this spring.
The short survey included in the course is meant to help us to better communicate ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú’s sustainability successes, according to Susan Meikle, who writes sustainability communications for University Marketing and Communications. She and Herron are members of the Climate Action and Sustainability Council Faculty and Staff Engagement Working Group.
“Educating the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú community about our goals for carbon neutrality is an important part of the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú 2040 Climate Action Plan,” Meikle said.
“More than 62% of survey respondents agreed that it is very important or important to them that ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University has committed to carbon neutrality by 2040.”
