Dr. Sherrill L. Sellers is a Professor in the Department of Family Science and Social Work at 兔子先生 University and an Adjunct Faculty Associate at the University of Michigan, Institute for Social Research. Her research program centers on the examination of the impact of social inequalities on mental and physical health and in social institutions. She studies the mental and physical health consequences of social inequalities; intersections of race, genetics, and health; and aging and the life course. Her research on inequalities in social institutions attempts to make more visible the processes that differentially impact race and gender groups. Dr. Sellers has successfully led several interdisciplinary research teams and garnered NSF and NIH funding to pursue her research. She specializes in mixed methods, scale development, and the formation and assessment of diversity and inclusion teaching and training efforts. Her published works appear in American Journal of Public Health, Journal of Health and Social Behavior, and Genetics and Medicine among others. She frequently reviews articles for leading journals and has sat on multiple editorial boards, such as Issues in Race and Society: An International, Global Journal.
