Why Psychological Sciences is the perfect major

PSS Student Learning Outcomes

The Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) for the Psychological Science (PSS) major are aligned with the American Psychological Association’s (APA) 2013 Guidelines for the Undergraduate Major to include one content-based goal and four skill-based goals:

Minors

Psychological Science

Would you like a better understanding of human behavior and how this impacts your chosen career field? Psychological Science minors will gain an in-depth understanding of how to design, conduct, and interpret empirical research to discover how personality influences behavior.

Students can take courses online, in-person, or a mix of both

Beyond the classroom learning opportunities include independent or small group research and experiential and service-learning projects in our surrounding communities

Note: The PSS minor is open to all majors except Psychological Science and Psychology. 

Applied Social Science Minor

The Minor in Applied Social Science offers students a comprehensive understanding of the social dynamics that shape our world and equips them with valuable skills in research, analysis, and critical thinking. The minor provides students with a broad understanding of human behavior, societal structures, and cultural variety, along with practical skills in research and analysis.

Note: Students majoring in ATH, GEO, POL, PSY, PSS, or SOC not eligible for this minor.
