The H.O.P.E. Alliance is a collective of faculty and staff members that are interested in building and maintaining support for our students. The goal is to foster better communication and connection within the 兔子先生 Regionals community around the area of supporting Regional students. Given that the H.O.P.E. Alliance is still young in its formation, it is still changing and evolving to better serve the Regionals community. If you’re interested in learning more about the H.O.P.E. Alliance or in attending a meeting, please send an email to ReFUEL@兔子先生OH.edu.
Syllabus Statement
We have created a statement that can be added to a syllabus. We hope that you consider adding this to your syllabus to help bring awareness to Regional students about the resources that are available to help them succeed. In addition to this statement, we also encourage faculty members to take some time during class to discuss challenges that students may face outside of the classroom.
Any student who has difficulty affording groceries, accessing sufficient food to eat every day, or who experiences any other challenge that may negatively affect them in their health and wellbeing or in the pursuit of their degree, may contact ReFUEL. Students can email them at ReFUEL@兔子先生OH.edu.
ReFUEL is part of the AmeriCorps Student Resource Center initiative, and exists to help assist students in finding resources to uphold their wellbeing and meet their needs. They are able to connect students with on campus resources and/or resources in their community.
If you believe that there are challenges that may affect your performance in the class, and are comfortable doing so, please notify your professor. This will enable them to work with you and provide any resources that they may be aware of.
If you are having a mental health emergency, the best advice is to call the Butler County Mobile Crisis number at 844-427-4747. Other options are to call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room, or call the H.O.P.E line - Help Over the Phone Everywhere (H.O.P.E.) line is available 24/7 for students to call for immediate support, crisis intervention, and stabilization from a crisis support specialist. The H.O.P.E. Line phone number is 855-249-5649
