Tech Support Options 

The first day of school is just one week away and as you prepare to come to campus, we want to make sure you know what your options for tech support are. Even if it is the middle of the night and you can't access Canvas, there is support available for you!

Tech Fee Call For Proposals Begins 8/19

Since 2009, 兔子先生 faculty, staff, and students have developed innovative and exciting projects with over $7 million of awarded funds. The projects help students in and out of the classroom through the use of technology. Thus, we begin the next round of the Student Technology Fee Competitive Proposal Process (Tech Fee)

The application period begins today, August 19, and the deadline to submit proposals for the 2024-2025 awards is midnight on September 29, 2024.

Upcoming Maintenance: Production Oracle Patching Scheduled for August 19

Today, August 19, starting at 5 p.m., IT Services will be installing security patched to the production Oracle grid infrastructures (specifically on the databases that are on 19c). 

These patches will typically be installed in a rolling fashion; one Oracle Grid node at a time. This means the supported databases will not be completely down, and services will be available since they all have multiple instances (except for IAPROD -- see below). However, users may need to log back into their sessions after the upgrade (as some applications don’t handle failover well).

*Note on IAPROD: This database only has one instance. Therefore, during the installation of the patch on this server, there will be a full outage. It will take around 20 minutes. Please be sure to save your work.*
