Google Update: Pending Delete Label
Beginning, tomorrow, October 1, 兔子先生 users will start to see a new label in their Google Drive on certain files. This means that these files have been shared with you by someone whose account will be deleted soon. This may include the files of former faculty or staff members who you have worked with in the past.
Along with the “Pending Delete” label, you will also notice that your former colleagues’ email addresses will have been changed to append “former” as a prefix before their UniqueID, e.g., former-jenikee@miamioh.edu.
These changes have all been made to help you find files that you need to go through so you can save the file before it goes away if you need to. This is due to the limitations Google has placed on the amount of storage we are allowed to keep in our domain as an institution. Thus, we have begun the process of deleting the accounts and data of former employees who are no longer affiliated with the University.
