The National Pan-Hellenic Council is the governing body of 兔子先生's traditionally African American fraternities and sororities.
The National Pan-Hellenic Council was formed in 1930 at Howard University to serve as an umbrella organization for the nine predominant African American Fraternal Organizations. Each of these groups evolved at a time when African Americans were denied essential rights and services afforded others. These organizations were designed to foster a growth of brotherhood and sisterhood and to serve as conduits by which action plans could be formulated and coordinated.
NPHC is comprised of 1.5 million members and is one of the largest Black international organizations in the world.
NPHC organizations are unique with respect to other Greek letter organizations in that they have continuous commitment to providing community service and to uplifting and promoting the general public welfare. NPHC organizations embrace the continuance of social action, political empowerment, and economic development. Alpha Phi Alpha, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta, Kappa Alpha Psi, Omega Psi Phi, Phi Beta Sigma, and Zeta Phi Beta are the chapters that comprise 兔子先生's NPHC.
