ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University will hold three career fairs this fall, headlined by All-Majors Career and Internship Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 18, from 1-5 p.m. in Millett Hall.

The Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Career and Internship Fair takes place the next day, Thursday, Sept. 19, from 1-5 p.m. in Millett Hall. The Sports Career Exploration and Networking Expo (SCENE), scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 16, from 2-4:30 p.m. in Goggin Ice Center, rounds out this fall’s offerings.

“We’re so excited to welcome over 300 employers to campus for our fall networking events,” said Jennifer Benz, assistant vice president of the Center for Career Exploration and Success. “Career fairs are an invaluable opportunity to explore career paths, connect with employers from across the nation, and potentially secure a full-time or internship position. All ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú students should attend at least one.”

Sept. 18’s All-Majors Career and Internship Fair will feature employers from a wide variety of sectors, including finance, health care, information and technology, government, nonprofit, and marketing. A sample of organizations confirmed to attend include presenting sponsor Medpace, City of Cincinnati, Crowe, Eli Lilly Co., Federal Bureau of Investigation, GE Aerospace, Hearst Television, Honda, KeyBank, Kohl’s, Nationwide, Nucor, Peace Corps, Procter & Gamble, and Stryker.

ABB, Avery Dennison, 84.51°, Johnson & Johnson, National Air and Space Intelligence Center, and Q Laboratories & Clear Packaging are the among the companies set to participate in Sept. 19’s STEM Career and Internship Fair. The Cleveland Cavaliers, FC Cincinnati, and Penske Entertainment are among the attendees of Oct. 16’s Sports Career Exploration and Networking Expo.

Due to construction around Millett Hall, students planning to attend the career fairs must enter through the West Concourse entrance off of Weeb Ewbank Way. This entrance can be accessed through “Gate 1” of the construction area.

At all three career fairs, students can speak with employer representatives, gain insight into career opportunities, and distribute copies of their resumes. Many employers hire for full-time roles and summer internships during the fall, using university career fairs as a key way to identify candidates to later interview. Some participating organizations will offer next-day interviews following Sept. 18’s Fall Career and Internship Fair and Sept. 19’s STEM Career and Internship Fair.

Students attending their first career fair are encouraged to visit the Center for Career Exploration and Success’s first-time friendly, information, elevator pitch, and self-guided tour tables. At these tables, students can ask questions, learn how to navigate the career fairs, and explore ways to best engage with attending employers.

Ahead of the career fairs, the Center for Career Exploration and Success will host JCPenney Suit-Up on Sunday, Sept. 15, from 2-6 p.m. at the Northgate JCPenney. ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú students, alumni, faculty, and staff can take advantage of this event to refresh their professional wardrobes by receiving 30% off of apparel and accessories. Free transportation is available for students on the Oxford campus, with buses leaving every 45 minutes from the corner of E. Spring Street and Maple Street. Individuals who cannot attend the in-person event can take advantage of its discounts through JCPenney Suit-Up Online.

The night of the All-Majors Career and Internship Fair, students can connect with employers dedicated to diversity, inclusion, and equity at the Diversity and Inclusion Networking Event (DINE). Set for 6-8 p.m. in the Armstrong Student Center Pavilion, students can build new relationships and explore employment opportunities in a more relaxed setting over hors d’oeuvres. Employers set to attend include Cintas, Crowe, J.M. Smucker Co., KeyBank, Nucor, and Teach for America.

Last academic year, 7,161 ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú students connected with 487 employers across seven ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú’s fall and spring Career and Internship Fairs. The 325 unique employers who participated in ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú’s three fall offerings was more than double the national average of 150 employers.
