Differences between ONLA, ONLS, HYBA, and HYBS
Understand how online courses are administered differently and the definitions of online course delivery codes for a smoother registration process.
Online
Courses are delivered fully online using the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS).
Online Asynchronous Delivery (ONLA)
- Online courses with no scheduled, live virtual meetings.
Online Synchronous Delivery (ONLS)
- Online courses with some required virtual live meetings.
Hybrid
Courses are delivered with a mix of components, including required on-campus meetings and online coursework.
Hybrid Asynchronous Delivery (HYBA)
- Courses with some required on-campus meetings and online coursework.
Hybrid Synchronous Delivery (HYBS)
- Courses with some required on-campus meetings, virtual meetings, and online coursework.
