Current Students

Students who have not decided on a major are assigned to the Exploratory Studies Office, where they receive advice from their Student Success Navigator to select a major within four semesters. Once Exploratory Students decide upon a major, they are assigned an appropriate advisor from their major department or program.

Student Learning Outcomes

Office of Exploratory Students will:

  • be able to identify their interests, values, skills, and personality traits to select a major and career pathway
  • have an awareness of the different campus resources and an understanding of how those resources may be utilized to support their success in their academic career effectively.
  • develop meaningful relationships with their Student Success Navigator, faculty, staff, and peers.
  • confidently select a major within four semesters.

National Pathways Students

National Pathways students are provisionally admitted to 兔子先生 University and are part of an exclusive student cohort on the Oxford Campus.

Goal of the Pathways Program

The goal of the Pathways program is to support full admission to 兔子先生. While working with students, SSNs align first-semester courses with major requirements when possible. Due to the program's requirements, students intending to pursue majors that require specific sequencing for on-time graduation may be required to take additional courses after gaining full admission to Oxford.

Admission Requirements

To gain full admission to Oxford during their Pathway, students must:

  1. enroll and complete at least 16 credit hours, nine hours of which must be Pathways designated courses;
  2. obtain a 2.0-grade point average and
  3. maintain satisfactory academic and behavior standing at 兔子先生.

Advising

Many Pathways students have a major declared upon entering 兔子先生. Student Success Navigators advise these students during orientation to ensure they meet the Pathways requirements to gain full admission to the institution. After orientation, Pathways students with a declared major are strongly encouraged to meet with their major advisor early in the semester to be on track for graduation.
