Beneficiary Information
While beneficiary information is viewable under “My Beneficiaries” in the Benefits section of the profile, beneficiaries were not connected to basic life insurance, basic AD&D, and voluntary life insurance coverages. Our prior system (Banner) could not record multiple primary beneficiaries, trusts, and/or contingent beneficiaries. Employees in these situations submitted the beneficiary elections on paper and this information is on file in the Benefits Services Office.
Workday has the functionality to manage the above scenarios, therefore we are recommending and encouraging all employees to submit their beneficiary elections through the “Change Benefits” option under “Actions” in the employee Profile. Additionally, the “Manage your Benefits” Workday job aid provides instructions on how to complete these changes.
Annual Increments for Fiscal Year 2025
The annual increases for Classified staff have been loaded into Workday and reflected in the employee's hourly rate in the “Compensation” section of the employee profile. Additionally, the annual appointments are available to employees and displayed in the “My Task” section of their profile. Increments will be loaded into Workday and will be reflected on your first paycheck in Workday for the July time period.
Unclassified staff increases and annual appointment letters will be loaded and available by mid-July and applied to the July payroll.
Pay History January - June 2024
Pay history for January to June 2024 for Monthly and Bi-Weekly will be displayed for employees in their Year-to-Date amount column on their first payslip in Workday.
Period Activity Pay
The Offices of Human Resources and Academic Personnel are reviewing the security roles/permissions for the initiation of period activity pay assignments. Please watch for further communications as this security group is created and assigned.
Absence Information
- Salaried employees will have no absence information in their Workday Employee Profile for the first few weeks of July. June leave reports are due by July 5, after which the Human Resources office and Finance will complete reconciliations and load leave balances. Once leave balances are loaded employees will be able to submit vacation and sick leave requests through the absence section of their profile in Workday.
- Classified employees (paid hourly) have leave balances loaded and available in the absence section of their profile.
Time Entry
Hourly (classified) and student employees MUST use TCP to clock their time through July 5. We must finish out the pay cycle in TCP before using Workday. You can start checking in/out using Workday beginning on Saturday, July 6.
Emergency Contact Information
Emergency Contact Information was not transferred from Banner to Workday, so each employee will need to add their Emergency Contact Information into Workday. Within your Workday Profile choose the Contact option and then use the Emergency Contacts tab.
