The Portuguese program does not currently offer a placement test.

Portuguese 111 and 211 are intensive instructional courses at an accellerated level, with the advantage that you can complete the CAS-A language requirement in one year as opposed to the traditional two year sequence.

Students interested in enrolling in Portuguese should have had at least one year of Portuguese or another Romance language (such as Spanish, French, or Italian) in high school in order to start at the 111 level.
