Arts & Science Multicultural Association (ASMA)

ASMA is an undergraduate pre-professional organization based in the College of Arts and Science (CAS) that serves as a platform to bridge the gap between diverse students with primary majors in CAS and business and innovative startups by providing the opportunities and resources necessary for students to build innovative mindsets, engage in entrepreneurial thinking, and achieve their professional and academic goals.

Association of Black Psychologists

ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú's chapter of the Association of Black Psychologists (ABPsi) is a group that organizes for the benefit of persons that are in psychology or related fields and are of African descent to address the issues of mental health in the Black communities. It meets on every other Thursday.

ABPsi offers a lot of other events oriented towards psychology. For the past two years it has hosted a Black Mental Health forum that featured student poster presentations and talks from faculty and practitioners in the field. It is currently collaborating with a fraternity and creating a solution to test anxiety.

Lex Latinx Society

Open to all students, the Lex Latinx Society is ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú's first Latinx pre-professional organization. Encouraging and supporting Latinx individuals entering the legal field, it provides guidance and opportunities to students interested in the legal field.

Through networking, outreach activities, and workshops, it gives students the guidance necessary with preparing for and facing the law school application, acceptance, and financial aid process.

Minority Association of Pre-Health Students

The Minority Association of Pre-Health Students (MAPS) is an organization that attempts to provide knowledge, resources, and experiences to students aspiring to pursue careers in the field of health care.

MAPS strives to provide equitable opportunities for minority pre-health students as well as other pre-health students through the promotion of resources that may serve as a conduit for academic and extracurricular achievement. Such resources will assist students in preparing to matriculate into their respective health professional schools.

National Black Law School Association

The ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University National Black Law Students Association (MU-NBLSA) Pre-Law Chapter is an organization for any and every student interested in law school, typically attracting students of color. Students worked to charter the chapter in the spring of 2015. The goal is to advocate for students interested in law school and provide them with opportunities and resources to which they may not have access.

Some of the activities that the NBLSA has sponsored or organized are law school visits, guest lectures, pre-professional panels, admission counselor and/or law professor visits to campus, Law School Admissions Council (LSAC) Forum trips, and academic workshops with the Rinella Learning Center. The chapter is always open to new members and ideas.

Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science

The goal of the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) is to further the work of, improve the effectiveness of, and enhance the public understanding of and appreciation for Chicanos, Latinos, Native Americans, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians and other underrepresented minorities in science.

SACNAS cooperates with other individuals, organizations, clubs, and other groups whose purposes include the achievement of public understanding for Chicanos, Latinos, Native Americans, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians and other underrepresented minorities in the sciences. SACNAS promotes student recruitment and retention of underrepresented minorities at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University and provides a forum for students from different science majors and science related majors to come together for academic, community service, and social activities.

Women in Law

Women in Law seeks to build a vibrant and supportive community for women in law during their time at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú and beyond, bolster women in pursuit of their professional and personal goals, and empower women with academic resources, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.

oStem @ ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University

oSTEM@ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University is a student-led organization which supports LGBTQ+ students at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University interested in STEM fields. We aim to provide a safe space for LGBTQ+ students in STEM and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community within STEM. We also plan to join the national oSTEM Incorporated organization which seeks to create a dynamic student- professional network in industry and academia, and to promote inclusion and equity of the LGBTQ+ community in STEM-related fields through student service and support. We welcome all students regardless of major, minor, or identity.
