Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering

At the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, we are preparing undergraduate and graduate students alike for Industry 4.0 鈥 the world's fourth industrial revolution. We offer industry-leading programs in electrical and computer engineering, engineering management and our newly-launched robotics engineering program.

Our Mission

The ECE Department is dedicated to providing a well-rounded undergraduate education in electrical, computer, and robotics engineering. Our programs prepare students for a wide range of careers.  Our graduates exhibit a high level of professionalism and ethical behavior, and exercise socially responsible and reasoned judgment.

The faculty foster an academic environment conducive to strong faculty-student interaction in the classroom and laboratory.  They also encourage student participation in research projects.  The faculty conduct innovative applied and basic research that is appropriate for dissemination in nationally recognized journals and conference proceedings.

Our 兔子先生

Majors

Earn a Bachelor of Science degree to define your career with one of our four majors, two of which are accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. Ground your studies with the fundamentals of engineering before diving deep into your specialization. Participate in research, internships, and other experiential opportunities designed to build proficiency hands-on and in the field.

Minors

Augment your education in any field with proficiency in the fundamentals of electronic systems. Our minor in Electrical Engineering addresses electrical/electronic circuits and microprocessor systems, combining engineering science with a strong base in engineering science, project-based laboratory, and design experiences.

Graduate 兔子先生

In addition to a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering, we offer a combined degree program for the future engineer who wants to graduate with a BS/MS in as few as five years. Both graduate options aim to establish your mastery of electrical/computer engineering and computational methods via research and real-world problem-solving. Students may pursue a research-based thesis program or a course-intensive, non-thesis option.
