ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University Partner Teacher Named Finalist for Ohio Teacher of the Year 2025

Michelle Dohrmann

ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University is dedicated to partnering with educators who embody the highest ideals of their profession, and Michelle Dohrmann of West Clermont High School is a shining example. The Department of Teaching, Curriculum, and Educational Inquiry has collaborated with Michelle since the early years of West Clermont’s Teacher Academy program, now entering its third year. Her program is one of many supported by TCE across southwest Ohio, aiming to address the teacher shortage and prepare critically conscious curriculum makers who will shape the next generation of public school teachers.

This partnership includes a range of initiatives, both on and off campus, for students and teachers alike. For example, Michelle and other Teacher Academy educators participate in quarterly professional development sessions at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú, and her students engage in an annual symposium led by a distinguished education author on pressing issues for future teachers. Michelle's commitment extends beyond her classroom, as demonstrated by her recognition as one of the top five finalists for Ohio Teacher of the Year. We are proud to work alongside a dedicated educator and partner like Michelle, who exemplifies the qualities we strive to instill in our education programs and partnerships.
