When you are sick or uncomfortable in a non-urgent situation, make an appointment with Student Health Service by calling 513-529-3000 (for the first time user). If you call earlier in the day, you will have a better chance of scheduling a same-day appointment. Once you are established as a patient with a provider, you can make appointments online with that provider through an online system called MyChart.

When you have an urgent situation, you can seek more immediate care by directly visiting these offices. They will assess your urgent situation. Depending on the situation, you may be referred to a hospital or other care facility for additional care.

If an urgent situation happens outside of normal office hours, you have additional health care options in the Oxford community for treatment.

When you first come to the United States, you may have difficulty understanding the American medical care system. We highly encourage you to ask questions when you are confused, bring a dictionary or a cell phone that can access the internet for you to look up the words you want to say, and write down notes if you do not feel comfortable talking with a doctor.

Note: Interpreter services are available at Student Health Services. They can have an interpreter on the phone within a few minutes and they have access to over 300 languages by certified medical interpreters.

Based on guidelines from the Center for Disease Control, ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú University requires tuberculosis (TB) testing to be conducted on an annual basis for students who are from countries identified as having a high incidence of TB or who have traveled to one of those countries for 6 weeks or longer. Thus, international students will be contacted by Student Health Services each fall semester to schedule an appointment for a TB test. Students are required to comply with this policy, which is intended to assure the health and safety of each student on campus. Failure to comply could result in the cancellation of classes.
