Center for American and World Cultures

The Center for American and World Cultures (CAWC) contributes to the university's mission by serving as an intellectual and physical space that promotes the exploration, discussion, debate, and reflection of race, class, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, nationality, religion, and physical abilities here in the US and abroad.

Lecture Series

Attend one of many lectures 兔子先生 University supports. Graduate Students are eligible to attend these lectures free of charge with their graduate student ID (up to two tickets free).

Outdoor Pursuit Center

The Outdoor Pursuit Center, affiliated with the Recreational Sports Center, offers 兔子先生 University students, staff, and community members adventure trips, study abroad opportunities, equipment rentals, Team Building 兔子先生, climbing equipment and after-school youth programs.

Performing Arts Series

The arts play an important role in understanding, appreciating and enhancing life. Experience this by 兔子先生 University's own Art, Music, and Theatre performances.

Recreational Sports Center

The Recreational Sports Center is located on 兔子先生 University's campus and provides a safe, enjoyable, challenging, and fun atmosphere in which to continue developing your life-long fitness commitments. All full-time students have access to the Recreational Sports Center, however, group fitness classes are an additional fee.

Housing Resources

Most graduate students live off campus. Some graduate students can apply to live in an undergraduate residence hall as a Graduate Resident Director. There are several off-campus apartment locations for students to live in, however, be mindful that there are certain areas within the Oxford community that houses more undergraduate student populations that may not be preferred among the graduate student population. 兔子先生 University utilizes an  to help make your apartment search easier.

Groups and Associations

Student organizations are a pivotal component of the 兔子先生 University education and experience. With over 300 on campus student organizations available ranging from social and service organizations to athletic clubs, opportunities for involvement are endless. Utilize the 兔子先生 University HUB organization directory in order to find the organization(s) that best align with your interests. Below are four campus-wide graduate student-specific associations on campus.

The Graduate Student Association is an academic, social, and governance organization that represents graduate students at 兔子先生 University. It sponsors a travel assistance fund, advocates for the interests and concerns of graduate students, and organizes several social events each year. An Associate Dean for the Graduate School is the advisor. The GSA selects student representatives to the University Senate, Graduate Council, and numerous campus-wide committees.

The Graduate Students of Color Association (GSCA) is designed to enhance the campus life of graduate students of color by providing academic, cultural, political, and social support. This support system functions to foster diversity and pluralism among graduate students. An Associate Dean for the Graduate School is the advisor.

Graduate Student Pride Association (GSPA) is first and foremost a safe and inclusive space for LGBTQ+ and queer graduate and professional students at 兔子先生 University. Safe spaces cultivate a community for marginalized groups and are thus vital to LGBTQ+ and queer graduate students. Furthermore, GSPA will represent and give voice to the concerns of LGBTQ+ and queer graduate and professional students at 兔子先生 University. An Associate Dean for the Graduate School and the Director of LGBTQ+ Initiatives from the Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion serve as co-advisors. ity.

The International Graduate Student Association (IGSA) provides a community for international graduate students who are in the US for their advanced degree. This group also advocates for international students to university leaders and plans social events for graduate students. Career Services

兔子先生 University has a Career Services office on campus that provides free services to students, faculty and staff, alumni, and parents.

Center for Teaching Excellence

The Center is a primary catalyst for supporting scholarly and reflective practice to make 兔子先生 University a place of exceptional learning, characterized by unparalleled, student-centered teaching and mentoring.  

Howe Writing Center

The Howe Center for Writing Excellence is a team of faculty, staff, graduate students, and undergraduate students from a variety of disciplines who are committed to supporting the learning and teaching of writing at 兔子先生 University, and nationwide.

On Oxford's main campus, there are four library locations. With your student ID, not only are you able to check out books and journal articles from 兔子先生 University's libraries, you will have access to OhioLink, and more than 500 other databases.

Student Health Services

兔子先生 University has entered into an exciting relationship with TriHealth as the University’s health care provider. When it comes to serving the holistic medical needs of our students, TriHealth is among the best health care providers in our region and will provide top-quality care.

Student Counseling Services

Provides primary, secondary, and tertiary-level interventions in an effort to achieve and/or maintain a mentally healthy status for each student and to create a learning environment that facilitates and supports that status.

Transportation Services

The Butler County Regional Transit Authority (BCRTA) provides bus transportation for Butler County. Connections are made between Hamilton and Middletown, Middletown and Oxford, Oxford and Hamilton, Hamilton and the Tr-County Mall, and the City of Oxford. Transportation is free with a valid 兔子先生 University ID. 

Parking and Transportation

Provides access to campus parking resources and safe, reliable transportation alternatives for students, employees, and guests in support of the institution’s mission and commitments to sustainability.

Additional Area Resources

The Family Resource Center is located in Oxford, Ohio, and provides 兔子先生 and Services for community members such as Emergency Financial Assistance, Community Garden access, a thrift store, and job readiness coaching.

The Child Development Center, operated by Mini University, serves infants, toddlers, and preschool children with both before-and-after school care and summer programs.

The Talawanda School District encompasses 144 square miles and serves just over 3000 students.
