Good information security practices begin with you. Keeping your ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú password safe means keeping your email, Canvas, Banner, and other resources safe, too. Here are a few simple rules to help:

• Do not share your ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú password
• Log out of all services/applications when using someone else’s computer
• Never reply to email messages requesting personal information (ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú password, SSN, etc.)

Duo Security

Duo two-factor authentication (TFA) is mandatory at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú. TFA protects student accounts by adding a layer of security to the login process.

Interested in a job on campus? IT Services often has several paid positions that provide students the opportunity to work with computers and inform the direction of technology at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú. Emergency Text Messaging System

IT Services supports a variety of communication systems designed to ensure that you receive appropriate and timely information to keep you as safe as possible. For time-sensitive urgent alerts, the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Emergency Text Messaging System, powered by Omnilert, sends a text message and/or email alert to all registered users. This system is used to notify ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú students and employees of imminent danger or campus closure and not for general communication. All first-year students will be automatically registered for Omnilert by fall.

You may choose to opt out of the alerts at ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúOH.edu/etms.

Campus crime alerts and other high-level informational messages are sent to ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú email accounts and/or posted on myÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú. These notices are generally less time-critical.
