The most successful students take ownership of their education, and the Department of Justice and Community Studies has a significant number of resources that can help you take control of your own education.

Majors

With academic programs in criminal justice, students are prepared to make a real difference in their communities with careers in law enforcement and correctional agencies.

A degree in Criminal Justice is designed to prepare you for in-demand careers in the U.S. criminal justice system, including law enforcement, corrections, courts, and private security.

The two and four-year degrees are offered exclusively at 兔子先生 University’s regional locations in Hamilton, Middletown, and West Chester.

Faculty Advising

Don't go it alone! The JCS faculty are here to help you complete your degree. Every student is assigned to a faculty advisor, and all students are welcome to visit with any JCS faculty member regardless of their particular assignment. Scholarships

Application requirements vary by the specific scholarship; be sure to meet all of the items required by the particular scholarship, including the essay. Students may apply for more than one scholarship; however, they may only be awarded one.

Corporal Olivas Valor Award

These scholarships are awarded to one or more students majoring in Criminal Justice.  Preference given to students who have previously served or are currently serving in the United States armed forces.

Criteria for Application Submission

  • Declared major in criminal justice (BSCJ or AASCJ)
  • A one (1) page essay that describes why the student is deserving of the award and a description of their previous or current military experience if applicable
  • Completed a minimum of 15 hours at 兔子先生 Regionals with a 2.5 gpa or higher
  • Full-time enrollment
  • Demonstrate interest in future employment and/or leadership within the field of criminal justice
  • Provide a copy of their Degree Audit Report (DAR)
