About Academic Integrity

Academic Integrity is more than just "not cheating." Academic integrity is about learning, responsibility, accountability, fairness, respect, honesty, and trust. Ultimately, academic integrity is about the values we hold and that define our character-it is about what we choose to do, even when no one is looking, and it is about creating sound habits for the future.

Academic Integrity is important because it is about the choices we make about how to complete your academic work and be a student at 兔子先生 University. It is about practicing the work ethic and responsibility that is expected of all 兔子先生 students and that will be expected in future endeavors. It is about being responsible to oneself, peers, faculty and upholding the values of 兔子先生 University - espousing Love & Honor.

What We Do

  • Educate students on the academic integrity policy and how to develop and maintain integrity in their lives as students
  • Provide faculty development on academic integrity as a teaching and learning imperative as part of the Center for Teaching Excellence
  • Oversee the implementation of the Academic Integrity Policy and adjudication process
  • Work with students engaged in the academic integrity adjudication process
  • Maintain academic integrity records

Brenda R. Quaye Headshot 

Brenda R. Quaye, Ph.D., Assistant Director for Academic Integrity

Brenda joined 兔子先生 University in 2012. As the Assistant Director for Academic Integrity, she is responsible for providing leadership for academic integrity education, practice, and policy at 兔子先生 and is the primary point-of-contact for faculty and students regarding academic integrity questions and issues. Before joining 兔子先生, she served as the Director of Academic Integrity at George Mason University, as the Assistant Director of Student Conduct at the University of Maryland, and the Director of Greek Affairs at Shippensburg University. Brenda earned a BA in English at North Dakota State University, an MA in English at Ball State University, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education at the Pennsylvania State University. Her research focused on how students understand and make decisions about academic dishonesty and how the classroom context affects students' decisions.
