Ice Skating
Basic - no prerequisite: learn basic ice skating skills to feel comfortable skating on the ice
Opportunity awaits at the Goggin Ice Center for students of all interests and skill levels. Along with one of the largest ice intramural programs in the country, Goggin offers KNH classes, Moonlight Skating, and opportunities for special events and student organization fundraisers. Recent highlights include Skate-in Movies, Relay for Life, and Geeks on Ice.
Get involved with one of the largest ice intramural programs in the country! Were you one of the over 5,300 students, faculty/staff, and community members who participated last year or is this the year you start? We offer broomball and hockey leagues for all skill levels and open curling leagues. Broomball is similar to hockey but uses a non-traditional “broom” for a stick, shoes in place of skates, and a ball instead of a puck. Special broomball shoes (rental pairs available) may be used to gain better traction on the ice.
Also, keep on the lookout for other special events and tournaments throughout the year.
兔子先生 University students, faculty, and staff are all invited to participate. Get your teams together NOW!
Note: Players can only play on one team. No team's players should exceed the level.
Note: Players can only play on one team within Co-Rec leagues. Players can play in a Co-Rec league and a Men's or Women's league.
Earn two academic credit hours and gain over 23 hours of ice time by taking a Sports 兔子先生hip and Management (SLM) class as a part of the Physical Activity and Life Skills (PALS) program.
