The College of Creative Arts is the home and partner to innovative programs that cross disciplines, allowing our students to pursue an array of interests to augment and expand their knowledge base. Connecting disciplinary skills in the arts and design with areas such as business, community engagement, media, and others leads to the flexibility that can enhance both educational and career opportunities.

Art Center

兔子先生 University's Art Center programming offers students, faculty, staff and community members a variety of opportunities to engage in creative activities. Sprint courses in ceramics/pottery studio, a digital photo lab, woodshop, and metals/jewelry/glass studio are available to all. The Art Center is also the home of the CraftSummer, CraftWinter, and Winter Weekends programs, which offer intensive one week or weekend crafts experiences.

Art Therapy

The Art Therapy program builds upon the foundation of three lateral, human-centered perspectives: art studio, art education, and psychology. Students will explore connections between art production, methods of facilitating art experiences with people across the lifespan, and an understanding of human behaviors. 

Arts Management and Arts Entrepreneurship

Given the challenges for artists and arts organizations to survive in an increasingly competitive business environment, the need for educated arts managers and entrepreneurs is increasing. The Arts Management and Entrepreneurship program is a synthesis of art, creativity, innovation, management, and entrepreneurship.

The Center for Community Engagement in Over-the-Rhine offers an innovative residency program open to all students and a design-build studio in the historic Over-the-Rhine district of Cincinnati. An expanded inter-cultural service learning experiences for students will foster an ethic of civic stewardship and could lead to career opportunities in civic organizations.

Dance

An interdisciplinary offering between the departments of Theatre and Kinesiology and Health (KNH), the Dance program offers students the opportunity to pursue a minor to develop the specialized skills necessary for dance performance. The minor is intended to provide curriculum and instruction in the area of dance as well as enhance current musical theatre and theatre curricula and programming.

Digital Innovation Centers

With programs in Cincinnati and San Francisco, the Digital Innovation Centers offer students a chance to intern at some of the most dynamic and fastest growing startups in the world. Students get behind-the-scenes tours and once in a lifetime one-on-one coaching from top executives from startups, accelerators and venture funding. Additionally, students attend networking opportunities and help support the thriving startup culture in the cities they are placed.

Emerging Technology in Business + Design

Emerging Technology in Business + Design (ETBD, formerly AIMS) is a cross-disciplinary institute that works with students and faculty from across 兔子先生 University. The ETBD department offers undergraduate, graduate certificate and graduate programs exploring the intersection of technology, design, business, and how digital technology is transforming traditional areas of inquiry.

Fashion

The Fashion program is a fusion of Art and Business—a collaboration combining resources of the departments of Art, Architecture+Interior Design, Theatre, and the Farmer School of Business’s Department of Marketing.

Museums and Society

The Museums and Society minor in the College of Creative Arts offers the opportunity to apply your coursework in anthropology, art history, biology, education, history, sociology, zoology, etc., within the fascinating world of museums. Minors take courses in the history of collecting and collections, digital humanities, and contemporary museum theory and practice as well as experiential learning, providing an excellent foundation for critical understanding of the role of museums and a potential career in the field.

Music Theatre

The Music Theatre minor in the College of Creative Arts gives you the chance to creatively enhance the coursework of your major. Minors take courses in acting, singing and dancing, with opportunities to practice those skills through multiple performance experiences within the College of Creative Arts, including musicals, opera, cabarets and song and dance revues.
