The application process for graduate programs with dietetic internships is introduced in KNH 103 Introduction to Nutrition and Dietetics each semester. Further information is provided during advising sessions with your academic advisor as you progress through the program. In-depth information is covered in student nutrition meetings led by the didactic dietetic program director focusing on applications to graduate education programs with supervised practice components. The ACEND-accredited education programs and supervised practice that lead to the registered dietitian examination have requirements set by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Students will need to have a master's degree in order to take the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credentialing exam to become a registered dietitian nutritionist after January 1, 2024. Graduate programs with supervised practice provide a minimum of 1000 hours of experience. Graduate programs with dietetic internships have specific degree plans to provide more experience in specific areas of dietetics.
