Dietetic Policies and Procedures

Students are encouraged to become student-level members of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) and the 兔子先生 University Student Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (SAND). Student membership benefits include eligibility for AND scholarships and access to valuable student resources for application to dietetic internships, the Evidence Analysis Library and Tutorial, and other student-level educational resources.

Grade Policy

The Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Health admission Grade Policy Students must earn a 2.0 or higher GPA based on the required courses.

Repeating Courses

The undergraduate course repeat policy can be found in the Registration (Undergraduate) section of the Student Handbook. Students are strongly encouraged to visit with an advisor to determine whether repeating a course is advisable. Repeating a course may have an impact on financial aid, insurance, entrance to professional schools, participation in athletics, immigration status, and other matters. Dietetics students need to be aware that the application process for dietetic internships require that students include ALL grades for all courses taken at all colleges and universities. Occasionally students may need to repeat a course because of a low grade. We encourage students to limit the number of classes they repeat.

Academic Honesty

The Dietetics Program follows 兔子先生 University policies and procedures regarding academic dishonesty. Academic dishonesty is defined by 兔子先生 University as an intentional act of deception in which a student seeks to claim credit for the work or effort of another person or uses unauthorized materials or fabricated information in any academic work. The 兔子先生 University Academic Honesty Policy is as follows:

The rights and rights and responsibilities that accompany academic freedom are the heart of the intellectual integrity of the University. Students are expected to behave honestly in their learning and in their behavior outside of classroom. Cheating and other forms of academic dishonesty undermine the value of a 兔子先生 education for everyone, and especially for the person who cheats.  Misunderstanding of the appropriate academic conduct in a particular situation, he or she should consult with the instructor in the course, the department chair/program director, or the academic dean in appropriate division in order to maintain the highest standards of academic honesty. 

Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) Code of Ethics

The 兔子先生 University Dietetics Concentration promotes and includes the AND Code of Ethics in course content as a part of its established student learning goals.  

Canvas Organizational Site

Students are provided access to the Canvas Nutrition and Dietetic Organizational site for students. This site provides valuable information relevant to students; including advice on academic success, the student handbook and the AND Code of Ethics, encouragement to join the Student Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as well as providing students the opportunity to communicate with other students and faculty.

This resource provides extensive information on the process of applying for graduate programs with dietetic internships. The Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) Director maintains the Canvas organizational site with input from faculty.

Student Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (SAND)

兔子先生 University has a very active  (SAND). Active membership in this University recognized club is highly encouraged, as participating students gain valuable leadership, networking and volunteer experience that can be helpful when applying for a dietetic Internship. SAND maintains a website that includes meeting information and volunteer opportunities. Students of all academic standings are encouraged to run for SAND leadership positions.
